Easter Dinner

Sunday Rob and I had a few people from Rob's ship over for Easter dinner.  Including Rob and I, there were 8 of us!  I was a little nervous about preparing enough food for so many people.  It all worked out though. We even had enough food for a couple of the single guys to bring home leftovers.  We forgot to take a picture of all the food, but we had ham, mashed potatoes, corn pie, green beans, crescent rolls and a salad.  I also baked sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies.  Someone else was in charge of the dessert, but I wanted to have something just in case!  My A-type personality shines through!:)  I even made Easter Baskets for everyone.  After dinner, we all played Guitar Hero and different sports games on the Wii.  Even Annabelle was allowed to join in on the fun!  The guys loved playing in the back yard with her.  She was a hit!:)  

Rob and I were sad we couldn't come home for Easter, but we are grateful to have met some really great friends to spend our holidays with.  Below are pictures from Sunday.

SWO Pin

For the last year and a half Rob has been working hard towards one goal: earning his SWO pin. Along the way, Rob has had to complete many tests, boards, qualifications, and attend a 3 week course in RI, all to attain this coveted pin. SWO’s (Surface Warfare Officers) are allowed 18 months to attain this pin, many go over this allotted time, but Rob hit it on the nose!:) I am so very proud of him. Rob is finally doing something that he enjoys. To see how content he is, how excited he is when he talks about his job now, makes me happy. Below are pictures from his pinning this afternoon.
