Rob was craving a gyro, so he was very happy. We had calamari (which I didn't know was a Greek food) and Greek fries! Yummy! We walked around for a bit to look at all the items they had for sale. While we were there, we got a phone call from one of Rob's friends. Ben and his girlfriend wanted Rob and I to go see "Angels and Demons". I LOVE the movies, so of course we said yes. I thought the movie was just okay, but everyone else thought it was really good. We had a really fun/busy day Saturday. Today has been a quiet day, I'm already excited about next weekend though. We have tickets to see the musical "Wicked". I can't wait! Well, I think I'll end this blog with one of the (famous) quotes from one of the movies we saw yesterday. "Live long and prosper. "

Rainy Day
Saturday started off early for us. Rob wanted to get the yard done before the rain started. With all this rain we've been having, we have to mow our grass once a week. Okay, Rob has to mow the grass once a week. And he was gone last weekend (and it rained) so we were already behind! Rob started on the yard and I started on the house. In our lease it says that we are to have the (pink) carpet steam cleaned once a year. Well, next month will be a year! I can't believe it either. Anyway, we needed to get the carpets done, so of course I had to clean up and vacuum for the steam cleaner.:) As soon as Rob was finished with the yard it started raining, it was perfect timing. Once the yard was done and the carpets were cleaned, we decided to go see "Star Trek". It was so good! Rob nor myself are 'Trekkies" , but the movie was clever, had a good plot line and easy to follow. After the movie, we headed to the Greek Festival in Norfolk. As soon as we got there, it started pouring! Below is a picture of the rain. After that, my camera died, so I had to take a picture of Rob with my camera phone.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the movies! That's one of my memorable things about you - how much you love the movies, and how you HATE to be disturbed (shhh!!!)! Hehe. Has it really been a year? Unbeleivable right? How long will you guys be in VA?
ReplyDeleteMmmm, Greek food! Did you eat baklavah too? Delicious!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time at Wicked. I know you're looking forward to it. Oh, yeah, and NKOTB soon to follow!!!
